We all love ice creams! Okay, most of us do. We can’t think of one reason that one would ever hate ice creams. But do we love all the flavors that exist? Well, that we may not! No, we are not talking about the staid and simple flavors, say chocolate, vanilla, the works.
But we are talking more about the corn zone on the cob, creole tomato, and more. So, are you willing to try out these flavors? Well, whether these cold, creamy versions can send you to gastronomical heaven or not, you have to find them out yourself!
Pickled Mango
Are you looking for unique treats? Ice cream maker, Jeni Britton Bauer, has your back. Yeah, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams‘ proprietor is lining up some of the most limited edition flavors ever. And their pickled mango is our new favorite!
This is cream-cheese ice cream with a spicy mango sauce, complete with spices such as balsamic vinegar, allspice, white pepper, and clove! Spicy, tangy, and creamy, what’s not to love? While you are at it, also check their Goat cheese with red cherries, and you’ll keep coming for their creamy deliciousness.
Boiled Cicadas
There’s an insect in your ice cream, no truly there is, cicadas. Gross as it may sound, but boiled cicadas are coated with milk chocolate and brown sugar. Then there’s a strange concoction of butter and brown sugar. Well, you may not get it all year-round.
But only when cicadas are around, that too once every 13 years when a new generation is born. So if you are 13 now, the next time, you may get to taste the ice cream when you are 26! Ah, we don’t think we are looking forward to tasting it. We don’t want to forgo our love for ice creams.
Pink Lemonade Pop Rocks
Max and Minas’s ice cream from Queens, promises a tantalizing flavor: blending lemonade (freshly squeezed) and a firework-branded tingling flavor. The light pink lemonade flavor brings a lot of fun to this fizzy flavor. The New York ice cream parlor flavors are so outrageous that they are fun!
So much so that they have been listed as Food Network’s most outrageous foods. Well, if your tastebuds are looking for an outrageous spin, you need to visit these guys. You never could think that ice creams can be so delicious and weird. Did you think weird would describe an ice cream of all things? Well, think again!
Ghost Pepper
Are you looking for traditional flavors? Here’s a shop you could try. And while at it, do give their 100 varieties a try. Well, at least some of them at The Ice Cream Store in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. They don’t have the same old vanilla. Instead, they have variations such as African Vanilla or Madagascar Vanilla Bean.
You can spice it up even more if you give their Devil’s Breath Carolina Reaper Pepper Ice Cream. The ice cream looks zany red and blended with cinnamon. The Ghost Pepper Ice Cream also made its way to Ripley’s Believe It or Not book in 2016. We dare you to try it the second time in a row.
Lobster
A visit to the Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium in Bar Harbor, Maine, is a must if you are looking to be a little adventure with your ice cream flavors. It has the Pine Tree State’s signature delicacy, Lobster Ice Cream. A buttery treat with a fresh lobster folded in, so that you taste it with every bite! If you are fond of lobsters and ice creams, you can give it a try. We can bet that never in your life would you have thought that two of your favorite foods will be served in one go and end up tasting delicious too!
Creole Tomato
The New Orleans’ Creole Creamery says, “Eat ice cream. Be happy.” You start choosing from their dozens of ice creams, sorbets, sherbets, and lollies. But even the healthiest of us won’t like to trade the ice cream with that of a salad. But, what if the trade is for something else? Like the Creole Tomato? Well, is it a salad or an ice cream? You have to try it to know it!
