The 007 franchise has always been related to men portraying the handsome and dashing agent, James Bond! While women in the movie have always been the glamor quotient in the film, whether she plays the love interest of Bond or is the femme fatale in the flick. Over the years, women in the Bond films have been nothing but mere barbie-doll pieces that help make the movie look fashionable and balanced. But, in a recent interview, not one but two James Bonds, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, were heard stating that the franchise should now consider a revolution, by adding a Female Bond in the scripts.
Attending the Toronto International Film Festival over the weekend, Pierce Brosnan as well as Daniel Craig, both endorsed the proposal of having a woman lead the stories of this famous spy franchise. In an interview with Variety, Craig stated that he thinks a woman could of course play the role of the lead character in the film in the future. Daniel made this statement while promoting Agatha Christie based film Knives Out , and also jokingly endorsed Jamie Lee Curtis, his co-star from the film for the role of the Female Bond. While Brosnan spoke to Hollywood Reporter with all his heart and stated, “I think we’ve watched the guys do it for the last 40 years, get out of the way, guys, and put a woman up there.”
